The Cagayan de Oro Hotel and Restaurant Association (COHARA) has proudly presented and held the KUMBIRA,2013 . A culinary show and live competitions for its 17 years NEGOSYO KULINARYA recently on August 14 to 16. It was held at LimKetkai Center. This was participated and formally followed with the prepared program by the city tourism office. Having the following sequence of the activities:
Part 1: Unlocking the KUMBIRA NEGOSYO KULINARY carts with Sec. Ramon R. Jimenez Jr, Department of Tourism; Hon. Oscar S. Moreno, City Mayor, CDOC and Madame Arlene Moreno, first lady, CDOC. Also the Honorary Chairperson, City Tourism Council, Ms. Nelia Lee (COHARA President) with the judges, sponsors and the COHARA members were in the venue..
Part II: Was the formal program up to the performances of the guest, as well as those uttered speeches by remarkable important individuals.
Part III: Was for visiting each booth of the participants and its palpable displays and done products.
The most exciting part was during competition event by those diverging hotels & restaurants, schools and some independent individuals who are in the same way talented and has their ways to make it to the best result everyone we desire! From table setting, pastries, Del Monte cooking demo and Solane demo competition, every participants really had the excitement to do their best to gain the award of their magnificent performance.
A lot of us witness the specialties and the Filipino delicacies were displayed during the second and the third day of the events, which we really enjoyed to checked out and amazingly seen. On the third day, which was also the championship round of the competition held, was also the time to judge and display of KUMBIRA MOMENTS photography entries from 10:00 a.m, August 16, 2013 at Food Gallery Area.
Many were given the gold, silver and bronze title and awards. There are lots of certifications as will and of course, a lot were given the chance to join and enjoy in the entire event and witness the total taste of what KUMBIRA is all about!
